On Saturday, March 22, Limburg LIONS will play their final match in the Super Handball League, the joint Dutch-Belgian handball competition. They will then continue in the HandbalNL League, competing in both the Dutch league and the cup competition.
With great regret, we must announce that Limburg LIONS will cease to exist after this season due to ongoing financial difficulties. Despite the tremendous efforts of the board, staff, players, volunteers, and sponsors, it has not been possible to secure a stable future for the club.
For years, Limburg LIONS has played an important role in handball, contributing to the growth and development of the competition. We would like to thank the club, players, staff, volunteers, and supporters for their unwavering dedication, commitment, and passion. Their contribution to the sport will not be forgotten.
