The collaboration focuses on more and better coverage of the SHL: from interviews and background stories to joint campaigns. By combining their strengths, both organizations want to bring the league even more to life — with exclusive stories about players and clubs, more attention for Belgian handball, and new ways for fans to experience the sport.
Tjark de Lange (Chairman Super Handball League):
“Handbal Inside is already the leading news platform for developments within the SHL and has contributed positively to the growth of handball in the Netherlands and Belgium for many years. With this collaboration, the SHL will come even more alive among Handbal Inside’s followers.”
Stijn Steenhuis (Handbal Inside):
“We’ve been in talks with the federation for some time about ways to collaborate more closely, and we’re pleased that this first step has now been taken. By joining forces, we can give the sport even more exposure without losing our independence. This allows us to dedicate more time and energy to the biggest club competition in the Netherlands and Belgium and the many great stories behind it.”
Dries Boulet (Belgian Handball Federation):
“Thanks to this collaboration, the Dutch Handbal Inside will also become more active in Belgium. This means more international handball news, stories, and experiences for the Belgian audience. Belgian players, clubs, and competitions deserve more visibility, and through Handbal Inside we can now share their stories with a wider public.”
Tonnie van Rijn (Dutch Handball Federation):
“The collaboration with Handbal Inside perfectly fits our mission to make handball grow, not only on the court but also in the overall experience surrounding it. Together, we continue building a strong and recognizable handball community.”
The collaboration will take shape through structured reporting on the channels of Handbal Inside and the Super Handball League, joint content around top matches, and editorial attention for the development of clubs, players, and coaches. In addition, initiatives will be developed to further enhance the fan experience around the competition.
